Code of Conduct

SkillFoundry is a technical community. We enforce a high-signal, respectful collaboration standard across repository activity, issue tracking, and discussions.

Respect, Safety, Accountability, and Clear Enforcement

Expected Behavior

  • Focus criticism on code, architecture, and verifiable technical outcomes.
  • Be precise and respectful in pull requests, reviews, issues, and public discussion threads.
  • Assume good intent while still holding a high bar for correctness and evidence.
  • Document decisions and tradeoffs so maintainers and contributors can reason clearly.

Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, demeaning language, or sustained personal attacks.
  • Doxxing, sharing private information, or attempts to expose personal/security-sensitive data.
  • Spam, trolling, deliberate disruption, or bad-faith technical sabotage.
  • Repeated refusal to follow maintainer moderation directives.

Scope

  • Repository issues, pull requests, commits, code reviews, and release discussions.
  • Project community spaces and linked communication channels managed by maintainers.
  • Public interactions representing the project brand in technical communities.

Reporting

  • Report incidents privately: [email protected].
  • Include links, timestamps, and context needed for investigation.
  • Maintainers handle reports confidentially to the extent practical and lawful.

Enforcement Process

  1. Acknowledge report receipt and begin initial review.
  2. Collect evidence from public logs and maintainers involved.
  3. Determine severity and choose corrective action proportionate to the violation.
  4. Apply actions: warning, temporary restriction, or permanent ban.
  5. Record incident outcome for consistency and future policy improvement.

Retaliation Policy

  • Retaliation against reporters or witnesses is prohibited and treated as a severe violation.
  • False claims made in bad faith may result in moderation action.
